While originally inspired by the awareness of a love relationship ending, this song took on an alternate meaning as I watched my best friend's efforts to communicate with her husband, who was on lengthy deployment in the Army in the Middle East. Lorenza Ponce guests on the mournful violin solo, while James Maddock works out the song's bluesy conclusion on his Les Paul.
